There’s nothing like coming back after a long day of exploring a room that’s cool, clean, and comfortable. As a travel photographer, organized tours are always a problem for me. The relative rigidness of itineraries makes it challenging to explore and understand a culture truly. But what I found with this Club Adventures tour was the freedom to explore. I had mistakenly assumed that we’d be wandering around some cool town during lunchtime and be able to pick out our restaurant, but that was not the case. When I got home again, I was like, I did not want to repeat that booboo again. I just thought there’s going to be a lot more autonomy to this trip. In 1967, Le Bon and eight travel mates made the first commercial expedition to the Annapurna region of Nepal and founded their travel company after returning stateside.
